Adroit Consulting Partners to Highlight 10 CRM Strategies for Manufacturers at Assembly Technology Expo in Chicago

September 13, 2005

"Companies focused on assembly and manufacturing are operations process experts - but to compete, these firms MUST transform into customer-centric process organizations. CRM technologies and processes can provide the roadmap." - Preview of "How Manufacturers Will Reshape CRM" session.

Chicago, September 13, 2005 - Adroit Consulting, Inc., an operational consulting firm focused on improving sales and sales support for mid-sized companies and Fortune 500 divisions, today previewed a presentation titled "How Manufacturers Will ReShape CRM," which will be given at ATExpo by Partners John Doherty and Darci Moore. Scheduled for Tuesday, September 27, from 11 to 11:50 a.m., the session will include insight into challenges facing manufacturers and formulas for success.

This year marks the first time that ATExpo and the International Robots & Vision Show, two of the world's leading manufacturing trade shows, will be held side-by-side September 27 - 29 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont (Chicago), IL. Together the shows will draw almost 800 suppliers of automation technology and assembly equipment for manufacturers looking to improve product quality, reduce costs and become stronger global competitors.

Mr. Doherty and Ms. Moore will outline unique CRM challenges facing manufacturers including:

  • Cost cutting that created companies with limited resources and enterprise wide initiatives
  • Acquisitions that resulted in "customer facing" functions being fragmented and inefficient
  • The need to integrate back office processes to meet customer needs - particularly in a custom assembly environment
  • Complex marketing channels and multiple customer "touch points" including
    • Direct sales - Field and Inside
    • Channel sales - Reps and Distribution
    • Web channels
    • Customer service and sales support
  • Understanding how traditional manufacturing metrics need to be adjusted to meet customer and CRM metrics.

The Adroit team will outline 10 Steps for manufacturers to take to transform from product-centric to customer-centric organizations while avoiding common CRM pitfalls. They also will provide sample metrics such as CRM program effectiveness, customer experience measures, revenue and operational efficiency measures.
